Our facility provides outpatient anesthesia for nearly 15.000 patients every year in our center in Gewerbepark in Regensburg and throughout the whole of Oberpfalz. We are a team of twelve
anesthesiology consultants, cooperating with several dozens of surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, gynecologists, urologists, eye-surgeons and other specialists including many dentists. A complete list of
cooperating physicians and hospitals can be found here.
If you have an appointment with our clinic, your contact data should be transferred by your surgeon with the appointment details to our clinic. We will usually try to send you a Textmessage (SMS)
that we have your details and we will try to reach you in advance to discuss all necessary informations regarding your operation with you. If you have not received such a textmessage at least the day
before your operation, please call us directly so we can inform you about our pre- and postoperative procedures and guidelines.
Please obey the following instructions:
- Do not eat, drink or smoke for at least 6 hours before the operation. This is mandatory also for children of all ages. Vomiting and regurgitation during anesthesia can cause severe complications
and is best avoided by having an empty stomach.
- You may have a light breakfast if your appointment is scheduled for the afternoon, but be sure to call us about the details. Not every food is allowed on the day of surgery.
- However you may drink small amounts of tap-water (without gas) or tea (without milk and lemon) up to two hours before your appointment. After that time, not even a chewing gum or similar sweets
are permitted. Please inform our staff immediatly if you or your children failed to comply with these rules - it´s for your own safety!
- Some patients stay overnight in our clinic, others may head home after leaving the recovery room. The duration of your stay in the PACU (post-anesthesia care unit) may vary, but a minimum of two
hours is almost always recommended. You may not leave our clinic by your own - you will need a responsible person capable of taking care of your needs for at least until the next morning, even if the
surgery performed on you is not impairing you. Until the effects of the anesthesia have completely worn off you will need someone watching you. We cannot let you leave unattended - and again, this is
for your own safety.
Throughout your stay, you can be reached via our reception desk (+49 941 208644-0). Mobile phones are allowed in our clinic and in the PACU, but we kindly request you to adjust your amount of
communication to the needs of your roommates.
